Hello there friend,
This week we’re chatting eyebrows…and some other Bits + Pieces.
Grateful to have you here.
Butchered…and I’m not talking about meat
One thing I’ve learned is we all have different versions of what descriptive words mean in practice. Natural to me may not look the same as natural for you. This is why refernce images and asking the right questions is important, in this case, when it comes to eyebrows. I wish I took my own advice more often, as discovered when I went to a new eyebrow threader recently, who took off half my eyebrows. And so the search to resurrect them began.
I came across Brow Rehab on Lois Croft IG. Definitelty watch this if you need help, she’s great and the products she recommended helped. Check out Egyptian Magic. It reminds me of Lucas’ Papaw. And the mini hair brush she uses to exfoliate the eyebrows now lives in my bag. I use it to comb my brows and take of stray hairs from my makeup brushes.
Daily practice
I’m staying curious to what makes me feel good daily. I first discovered breathwork a few years ago but never found the right way to do it that stuck. It’s been 6 weeks since discovering Open, and I use it pretty much every day. Give it a go, I love the user experience and the warm lighting of their videos.
Do you have 30 mins?
Visiting your childhood home in Australia uncovers lots of memories. Most notably, I’ve been getting stuck into some books I’ve found - here’s a niche 80’s number to get you inspired.
Reflection feels good sometimes
Whether or not intention setting resonates with you, I did this yearincompass workbook coming into the new year. Not to sugar coat it, this is work but it’s proper reflection and goal setting. If you want an activity that’s not Netflix or eating out, I’d really consider checking this out. I did it with a glass of wine over two days and it really helped me get clear on my year.
